We generally do not recommend people who are sensitive to flashing lights, have a history of seizures (epilepsy) or currently have an active skin condition (such as blisters, open wounds or rashes) in the targeted treatment area to undergo Pico Laser.
Pico laser works by sending ultra-short pulses of energy without heat to targeted problem areas, which shatters the problem skin pigment or particles. These are then eliminated naturally by the body.
Pico laser is extremely precise, allowing the doctor to achieve the optimal results. While the pulses of energy are highly concentrated, the laser’s effect is gentle to the outer layer of the skin and does not burn the skin. Most patients experience very little or no discomfort during their treatment.
Pico lasers are fast and quick treatments with each session lasting not more than 30 minutes.
Pico laser has little to no downtime or side effects. Most patients receiving Pico laser treatment can resume with their daily routine almost immediately after the treatment. Others may experience some redness and swelling after the treatment, but these typically resolve within a few hours.
